REDING. SET. DANCE. Workshop!

Jacob Reding is in town ready to share all of his dance knowledge! He’ll be leading social group lessons at The Jump and Ponderosa as well as putting on a dance intensive workshop open to all levels of dancers!

“Jacob Reding began his dance journey with social Country Swing / 2-Step / 3-step in August of 2003. Jacob is now incredibly blessed and humbled to have become the most decorated and accomplished country bar circuit dancer in the U.S., having earned 33 Champion Belt Buckles as well as numerous other wins in Country Swing (stationary), Progressive Freestyle & Traditional, Slotted Swing, & Lifts & Aerials. Among these accomplishments are a National Championship Title from YESSS 2021, Country Thunder Champions in 2022, as well as a World Champions Title from the UCWDC World’s Country Showdown Freestyle Division in 2022, where he also took 2nd in the Traditional Division.
Reding trained professionally as a ballroom instructor with Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Fort Worth in 2017 & 2018. Jacob then began training West Coast Swing in early 2018 while diving head first into JT SWING TEAMS choreography for 4 seasons, performing both the JV and VARSITY routines as a team Captain, assisting the directors. He currently competes at the ADVANCED level of the WSDC.
H He spent most of his career in the Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas, and now resides in Boise, Idaho as of August 2023. He looks forward to helping a smaller, very eager dance community to flourish and blossom into an even greater place to dance! Since 2021, Reding has been slowly transitioning from a competitor role to more of a mentor role while traveling, teaching, and sharing his knowledge with various dance communities across the U.S. He has found so much joy in this process and has loved seeing the growth and progress of the various dancers and their communities that he has had the pleasure to visit and pour into.
Jacob was also very involved serving in Watermark Community Church’s Children’s and Pre-K ministries for 10 years in Fort Worth. His love for Jesus has given him a conviction for fostering healthy growth within community, which is reflected in the joy that comes from using his passion for dance to strengthen relationships, encourage communication, grow confidence, and build character.”
